AKL info, please!

My husband, dad, and I are going down and staying in the AKL this December. It is our first time, in fact it is my dad's first time to WDW ever, and only our second, so we are all still very lost about everything!

I was wanting to get some ideas and information on what to expect at the AKL. Thanks.

P.S. How deep (roughly) is the pool there?
