I have read about AKL Honeymoon suites a few different places on the internet this past week.

I never knew these existed?

Does anyone know if they do exist?

One article I read said they had waterfall faucets and possibly a seperate sitting area.

I am familiar with the 1 br, 2br and Royal suites but not these.

Any information is appreciated.

I have not heard of these either... only the ones you mentioned.

We wanted to upgrade to a suite so they took us around to look at them and I saw the 1 and 2 bedroom suite and the Presidential and VP suite but they never said there was a Honeymoon suite. Does it have a fuzzy heart shaped bed ;)?

The onebedroom suite was plenty big for the two of us. The bathroom had a big tub and a separate walk-in shower that could fit 8 people.

Here are photos if you are interested.

The WL has the honeymoon suites, I think someone may have the resorts confused.

Tikiman--who were the other 6 people in the shower?:D

I am not sure who they were but they kept on taking the soap!!!

Tikiman... did you upgrade right there at checkin? Do you mind me asking how much extra it was?

Yes we asked when we were at the concierge check-in. After seeing the suites we wanted to stay in one. There was no one bedroom suites available so what they did was took someone who reserved a onebedroom suite and bumped them into a two bedroom suite for no extra charge and gave us the one bedroom suite and I don't remember how much exactly but we were there 3 nights before we switched to the Polynesian for a week and I think they charged us about $240 more (total not per night) for the upgrade from a standard concierge room which was very small compaired to the standard room at the Polynesian. The view was nicer from the suite also since they are on the end corner of the building.

Aloha

I found the honeymoon suite info on disdad.com.

Maybe they have AKL confused with the honeymoon suites at WL because it says they have a jazuzzi tub, etc.

I sure would like to know if they have honeymoon suites at AKL. I guess I can ask next time I e-mail them regarding our stay in October.

They have it backwards. They don't list the honeymoom suites at WL.

No harm in asking AKL BUT trust me, if they exist Tikman (amoung others) would know.

If you're looking for a jacuzzi tub try a 1 bedroom at any DVC property , hotel royal in DTD or Caribe Royale.

Steve,
Thanks for this information. We are using DVC points for our trip and are hoping to possibly upgrade to a suite if available upon check in. We will be there 4 nights before moving to the Poly concierge. It's good to know how accomidating they were to try to get you into a suite. I will let everyone know if we have luck or not. We are off tomorrow, but won't be at AKL until next Friday. We are doing the Sunsrise Safari on Sat. Can't wait!!!!!
