Just back from our 8 night trip of free dining.

We drove-never again- DD's car has a wobbly tire in Buffalo -lucky for us the station we pulled in to had one for sale. Half hour later we were back on the road.

First night- AKL grand villa- absolutely gorgeous.

Then over to ASMusic suites- o k but we had little bugs crawling on the counter:scared1:

Free dining was better last year. The tips killed me. We were a group of ten so 18% went on our bill and my portion was about $30 every meal.

Hot- hot and hot- way to hot.

DD's friend came and her purse was stolen from the back of our stroller along with Dh's camera bag. Lucky for us he took his camera on the ride. They went to guest services and the purse- minus all the cash and her camera were turned in as was the camera bag.

Overall a good trip but I don't think I will ever do a summer trip again.

We are just back from the family suites too! We didn't have any bugs but was that constrution a pain in the *** or what!

Oh we where in building 10 how about you?

I hear about the tips we awhere a party of 6 so we paid about 20$ at each meal.

We were in building 1 and yes Dh said they should be telling people about the construction when they book.

Did you have a good trip?

We had a great trip! We didn't do free dining last year but did do it 2 yrs ago. I was a little upset about the tipping thing and the changes too the didning plan, but I just kept telling myself it was free! If we had paid out of pocket for our table service meals we would have had to pay about 700$ or so.

Sorry...this is going to sound dumb....but what ASM suites? I've owned DVC for 4 years now and haven't really paid alot of attention to the All Stars since we don't stay there like we use to. I'am just curious cause I feel outta the loop:confused3

ASM now offers a family suite that sleeps 5 or 6 I believe - finally a break for families with 3 kids!

You can see them on the Disney site under ASM. I think they basically took 2 rooms and made it into one with more sleeping space.

This shows a floorplan and explains the contents. Honestly, whenever I've looked at them they struck me as very expensive. However, we don't have any kids so we haven't really explored different options for families with larger numbers of kids.

As a comparison, I got a quote before we left for next years trip, these are the price they gave me. Family of 5, ds9, ds6 and dd3 with free dining.....

poly with garden view $4586.15
Riverside $2963.83
All Star Music family suite $3245.93

I booked riverside.
