AKL fridge?

Do AKL rooms have fridges? I have a deluxe water view room reserved and did request a fridge, but wasn't sure if it is standard.

to my knowledge...no it isn't standard. the only difference btwn standard and deluxe is that deluxe has enough room for a side chair. i believe that there is an additional charge for a fridge. i would check with the resort if you are worried about that.

I was at AKL in the beginning of Ocotber and the rooms did not have fridges, but we got one from housekeeping and there was no charge.

I recently called to reconfirm my reservation and asked for a fridge. The lady said she would put that as my request and there would be no charge for it. From what she said, some of the rooms have them already, but you can get one for no charge.

We just got back from the AKL on Friday. About 3 days before we left, we came back from the parks one afternoon to discover a brown cabinet with a permanent fridge inside. Not sure if they are in all the rooms yet, but they are working on it.

We just got back yesterday. When we requested a fridge at check-in, the girl said that most of the rooms now have them at no charge but if there was not one in the room, just to call down and they would bring us one. There wasn't one, so we called and it was there in a matter of minutes. When we left yesterday, they had brown cabinets for the fridges that they were installing on the 4th floor rooms.

I called a few weeks ago to reserve for January 14-17th at the AKL and 18th -21st at Poly and asked for frigs at both. I was told that frigs were going to be installed as a matter of course in all resorts and that I didn't need to request one.

I called yesterday for my trip starting on Thursday. They also confirmed that we could request one, if there wasn't one in our room, and it would be no charge. I am so happy about that - every little bit helps!

We were there mid-September and when we checked into our room, there was a dorm-size fridge under the basin area. We didn't ask for one, but it sure did come in handy when Mara was closed during Hurricane Jeanne!
