AKL for a family of five?

Are there any rooms at the AKL that will sleep five? I thought the concierge rooms did, but the person at WDW reservations says only suites. I've looked at the WDW website and never see any suites available. Does anyone have any more information about this? Thanks for the help....

well shortly there will be 1-bedroom DVC rooms - AKV - part of it is in AKL.

most of the 1-bedroom will sleep 5. there are few that will only sleep 4 - value - smaller rooms.

Ask for a Deluxe Savannah room (not to be confused with a regular Savannah room). This room consists of 2 queen beds, and a day bed.

Are there many of the Deluxe Savanna rooms that sleep five? Nothing comes up for any of our dates, even the weeks on either end.

I believe most of the Deluxe rooms at AKL were on the 5th or 6th floor.

The 5th and 6th floors of the AKL are being converted into DVC villas for the new Animal Kingdom Villas DVC resort. They will also be building the new Kidani Village expansion for AKV, which is opening in 2009.

I posted something similiar to your problem yesterday...(Can't find Romm at AKL for the month of August!!!)
I was looking for a room for 5 at the AKL as well.
I have the whole month of August to play with and I cannot
find a room. I've read alot of posts from different people and i have concluded
that they have cut the numbers of rooms that they are offering(for 5) to
next to nil because of the construction. Apparently, with the conversion of the "Savannah View Deluxe" to Villas, they are not booking to capacity, so that if people complain about the construction noise, they can move them to different floors. I have heard varying degrees of complaints about the construction in the area of the rooms that accomodate 5. We stayed there
(Savannah View Deluxe Conceirge) several Years ago and loved it, but I think I've decided to quit beating myself up trying to find a room there, when I should be listening to fellow DIS'ers dissappointment of seeing "Construction
Vehicles" instead of Zebras and Giraffes from there "Savannah View Deluxe
Rooms". I've decided to try out the "Beach club" and come over to AKL to
visit and eat at Boma's(highly recommend) and Jinko's. You can still enjoy the resort that way and wait for the mayhem and confusion to be over. I'm going to be on vacation and I don't want to be worrying or having to change rooms when I should be relaxing! Good Luck!
