AKL for 1/9 to 1/12 for $164/night....Great rate or better one out there?

I got an internet rate of $164/night for 3 nights in January at the AKL with a Savannah view. I have called 3 times to see if an AP rate or Fla Resident rate or AAA rate could beat that. So far they just offered a regular rack rate of $275/night. So I really feel that $164 is the best rate we can get. Anyone else going around that time that has a better rate or any suggestions, please let me know....thanks a alot ya'll...............

I would say you got a great rate. We are going 2/9-2/12 and had booked a standard room for $398 total (including tax). When we wanted to upgrade to Savanah they added $150 more. Hope you enjoy your stay.

We are going next week and got a rate about the same. It was an AP rate. The std is a lot lower, but we really wanted the Sav.

Its a great rate for a savannah view. We paid $176 (tax incl) for a savannah view room for Dis con Dec 6-9. We stayed on the Kudu trail. We saw animals every morning and at night when we returned. Enjoy your stay and your good discount!

Thanks all! Last summer when we went we paid a Fla Resident rate of $189 a night so I am thrilled to get a $164 for a savannah view. Just checking to see that my rate was a good one and I feel better now. I love the AKL and can't wait to go back....Have a Happy New Year everyone!

DH, DS and I went to AKL this past July. We got AP rate of $129/night, upgraded to Savannah view. I have spotted a rate of $124/night for off season. And you only need 1 AP per party for that rate...of course there must be AP availability, but I got it for July, one of the busiest months, outside of the holidays and Easter/Spring break.

$164.00 is a great rate for a Savannah View room! Have a blast! We'll be heading there for our second stay in February!

Well, my sister decided to join us for this trip. She called yesterday a.m. and got the AP rate of $154 for Savannah view. When I called last night to ask about adjoining rooms, they had no AP rate rooms left. So I still feel pretty good about my $164 AND my sister got a really great rate too! Boy, are the kids gonna be excited we are going to the AKL.......(they think we are going to the Allstars).

Its a good rate. The only rate better is the AP rate. We are going in Jan and recieved the AP rate of $154. Same view. But as someone pointed out I believe those are now hard to come by.

We got a rate of $156 + tax for our recent Xmas visit. We were originally quoted $166 for a Sept. trip but when we rescheduled to Dec. the rates out then were a little lower. $164 is a super rate! We told our kids we were going to All Stars also for our trip. It was so hard to keep it a secret because they wanted to go to AKL so bad! The look on thier faces was priceless when they realized we were staying at AKL. My DS asked why are we pulling into AKL when we are staying somewhere else. Those are great rates. I am still waiting for them to post the travel agent rates. All these years, and I have never taken advantage of the agent rates because it was a hassle to have to wait for the last minute. This year, I decided to book and keep ckecking for the TA rate. So far, not posted yet for our Feb. 13th trip. Anyday now.

What is this - we all tell our kids we are doing All Star and then we pulled a switch. I told my kids the same and they are upset. They want a deluxe and I keep telling it is too much money. Little do they know that I got a deluxe savannah with bunks and a daybed.

Anxious to hear and see their reaction when we pull into the hotel.
