AKL-Easter week

We are going to try and book AKL with AP rate for Mar. 28th to April 2nd. We want the savannah view at 199.00. What are the chances?
Also, this may sound crazy but we have never stayed at AKL, can you smell the animals? As in the not so good smell that goes with animals? I love looking at them, but I hate the zoo because I often smell things I really prefer no to.
I don't want to stay deluxe with view just to have an unpleasant smell from our balcony.

We've stayed at AKL twice with a Savannah View and didn't notice a smell from the animals. I have a pretty sensitive nose.... I think it is a beautiful resort. The only drawback to it is that it is off the beaten path.

I wandered all over the resort to view the animals and NEVER noticed any kind of animal smell. It is a lovely resort, an attraction itself, and we really enjoyed it.

When we were there in 2001, none of noticed a smell.. we actually had what my daughter called 'the poop rock' right under our balcony (they would feed some of the animals on this concrete slab looking thing, and some of them would poop while they ate ) and never smelled anything. Heck, it is disney world, poop doesn't stink in disney

We'll also be at AKL March 28-April 1. We have Pool View for around $175. Have you called to see if they still have AP available?

I can't wait! I've heard so many great things about this resort and never heard anyone mention the smell. Good luck to you!
