AKL - Drumming Activity?

We are staying at POR (I had originally wanted to stay at AKL, but we're staying longer at POR instead). I've read before that AKL has some cultural activities like African drumming as well as the animal viewing spots. We plan on resort hopping to AKL and having dinner at Boma. My kids would like to participate in the drumming or other activity, and I don't want to make my reservation for the time it is happening. Does anyone have anymore information - or a schedule?

you need an activity list - when I went in Dec a few years ago think it was 6 pm - that may change with the seasons. (it was dark in dec)

Check over at the AKL thread - when we checked in last year they gave us an activity list (like spiceycat mentioned) - not sure what the current activities are - AKL does have a TON of daily activities... but if I remember correctly there was not a lot going on at dinner time. They do have some story telling by the firepit at night and the night vision animal viewing.

It will be different now, but my February activity sheet shows "Music of the Savanna" at 5:15. "Play African instruments and learn our role in the circle of life" is the description.

And at 7:45 they had "Drum Cafe-Learn to play African drums from a Cultural Representative".

Thanks! I will look for one of those activity sheets. I'm not sure where to find them though. I'll look at the AKL thread.

I'm not sure where you can find an activities list, although if you ask just before you leave you might get lucky here and some nice person may have one. I do think that the times and activities do change a bit, so it's always good to check before you go over there.
