AKL construction??

I have been reading that the AKL is under construction. We are planning a trip there the 1st week in December and were wondering if this construction is noticable and annoying. Is it still worth staying at AKL with the construction?

is it still under construction, oh, no, we'll be there in the summer and I thought everything was finished!

We stayed at AKL in November...didn't hear a thing.
