AKL concierge, savvanah OR POOL view??????

We are going to the AKL and we are planing on concierge . I am a bit concerned about the view issue, I definitely want a Savvanah view...but understand we may not get one.. Has anyone stayed at AKL conceirge and not had a Savannah view?/ If you didn;t what is the view like ?? Can you see the animal areas at all? I am a little concerned .. Thanks for any input..

I'm also staying concierge at AKL. Upon hearing about concierge rooms being pool view or savannah view, I quickly called CRO. She said it was my choice and noted on the reservation that I wanted savannah concierge. She said it would not be a problem.

I'd be curious if anyone was disappointed in their concierge room.

When I talked to the AKL itinerary planner about the PS for our November stay, we also talked about my room requests. I explained that we hadn't reserved concierge for our stay last December because of the possibility of a 'pool' view and that I'd upgraded at check-in - after confirming that we would be in savannah-view. He explained that there are only 6 concierge pool-view rooms and that they are 'smoking-optional' (as if there are smoking-REQUIRED rooms) and since we have non-smoking due to my allergies, that wouldn't be a problem anyway.

BTW, by waiting to upgrade to concierge at check-in, we weren't able to get SS last year, not even on a wait-list, as they were SO booked. This was early December, a slow season. This is one of the reasons we're back again this year - besides the fact we LOVED AKL last time.
