AKL concierge question

How is the concierge area set up at AKL? Is there one room with the concierge desk(s) for check-in, guest assistance, etc. and a separate room for the lounge like at the Poly? Or is everything all together in one area?

The two concierge desks are in the same room as the lounge, but off in one corner.

The AKL is a wonderful resort. I hope you have a magical stay there.

It's actually quite nice - the same CMs who check you in at the the desk, also rotate to the "food" positions (They wander around the lounge bussing tables, offering refills of wine glasses - as well as make sure all of the food /drink offerings are fully stocked - that sort of thing)--- It truly makes you feel spoiled when they call you by name the second morning of your trip (and every other time they see you!) ---

In fact, the CM's presence in the lounge was one of my favorite parts of AKL Conc. vs. Poly Conc. -- It seemed to make the entire lounge more civilized...(It was definitely cleaner, I never saw anyone take the entire plate of cookies back to their room (witnessed at the Poly)((There were at least 20 cookies on that plate!)), and if I had a quick WDW question to ask - they were always right there to answer (sometimes there was a wait to speak to the CMs at the desks (because they were busy with check-ins or making PS for others, etc..))

Sounds great! I can't wait until July! We're going to do all of our park touring during the first 2 wks of our trip, then for our last 3 days we'll relax and enjoy our time at AKL~probably won't even leave the resort at all. I think it will be nice to have that relaxing end to our vacation before we fly home. I'm gonna need it after 2 wks of hitting the parks w/ 5 kids!
