I hope someone can help me:(

I just called CRO (and when I asked if this was CRO, the CM says "uh, yes, of course", as if she never heard of Disney Travel. But that's another story).

I booked AKL concierge for July 5-11, 2004, which the CM confirmed is the first day of value season. The rack rate is 425 plus 11.5% per night. After she took all my info, she said I need to pay my first night deposit within 2 weeks, and she said it was $501.75, and that the total cost will be $3010.50. It sounded steep, but oh well I have a year to save and hope for codes.

Now I'm no math wiz, but according to her deposit amount, isn't that $76 a night intax?
I figure 425 plus 11.5% is $473.88, for a grand total of $2843.28 for the 6 nights.

I will call them back, but I wanted to see if I'm wrong before I make a fool of myself with CRO.

What, if anything, am I missing?

How many adults in the room? There is a $25/night/adult over 2 adults in the room and it looks like that is what she is charging you. $425 + $25=$450 +11.5% tax ($51.75)=$501.75.

EEEK hope you get a good discount.

that's exactly what it is...this happened to me too. my total was going to be $535.20 a night - which was steep enough;) but I forgot about the 3d adult charge which made it $563.08...ouch! But from what I've read it will be well worth it:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

hmmm... maybe she quoted you some insurance in there?

they love to sell insurance :)

Ok, that's what happened. I didn't even think of this.

When I made the ressie, I said it was for myself, DH, DS17 and DS 11. (They knew my kids by name!) DS17 will be 18 when we go, so the CM must have him down as an adult. So the mystery os solved! I was so discouraged, thinking they made a mistake with me already on my very first call, but now I see.

Wow, it's hard to think of my 17 going on 18 year old son as an adult already!

Thank you all for helping !

Shouldn't be too hard at Disney - the cms at the ticket counter have been treating his as an adult since he was 10. ;)
