AKL club waitlist

Do the 1 Bedroom club rooms ever come available on waitlist. If a Friday and Sunday are available is there a chance Saturday will open up or should I not even bother? Specially looking in April time frame.

Never say never, but a single Saturday night could be tough. But if you're seeing a Friday and a Sunday (not sure if you're seeing it or if you're talking hypothetically), I might grab them and waitlist, but have another Jambo room reserved for Saturday night. If the Club is important to you, you'd be doing a lot of room switching (if the Sat CL doesn't come available), but you'd have the CL Friday (check-in), Saturday (check-out day), and Sunday (check-in again!). Not something most would like to do - but I think we might try it. Along with the waitlist, I'd stalk the site often - sometimes a cancellation will happen and a stalker will see it before the waitlist process notices... Not to mention, there could be 5 people on the waitlist ahead of you. Good luck - the AKL 1BR CL is one of our favorite ways to stay!! Unfortunately, there are only 5 of them for DVC points.....

Later in April is probably a slightly better chance than early, around Easter.....

They come up all the time...I had a 2 night waitlist for a club studio come through for March a few weeks ago...

I don't understand why we get all these "what are the chances" posts? What does it cost to put in a waitlist and see what happens? Absolutely nothing, and it takes less time to just do it than it does to type up a post asking about it.

Wow kinda rude. I’m a new owner and don’t want to move for one night and back. I know these rooms are hard to get as it is. Was deciding if I should just book elsewhere if there was not a chance.

Book what is available and waitlist what you want. You can set the waitlist to replace the reservation that you made if it does come through. That way if it doesn't come through you haven't lost anything.

Club level rooms pop up all the time.

We stay Club level once a year, just 1-3 days, most likely just a single night. More than that would be a waste of points (if you ask me) On checkin day we try to arrive early or no later than 1-3pm and then utilize the lounge throughout the day. On checkout day we do the same, and depending on when our next room is available we stay until late afternoon. On our last stay, actually during this July we had an offsite stay booked at the Sheraton Vistana after Club level and talked about going back in the evening just for food, desserts, ice cream, and free drinks - we end up not doing it, but its an option as you have lounge access until 11.59.59pm on checkout day.

You might not get 3 or 7 days for that matter but 1 or 2 days can definitely happen. Just put in your waitlist no later than 7 months out and you are good. Any closer than 7 month will decrease your chance as others might already setup a WL for the same dates.

My family is the complete opposite, my wife would spend double the points to stay at club level. We always stock up on the water and snacks for the park each day.

Yeah honestly I would buy a club level dedicated week tomorrow if DVC would sell me one.
