AKL Club Level Savannah View?

I'd like to book a club level savannah view room and I'm hoping someone can tell me the best way to do that. It looks like if I rent DVC points it will cost much less but I may end up with a non-savannah view. Is that correct? Disney shows club level savannah view as an option for booking directly through them. I'm assuming these are regular rooms with club level access. Is there any way to get a dvc room and guarantee that it is savannah view? Thanks!

Nope.

There are only 5 2-bedroom lock-offs that make up the DVC Portion of AKV Club Level. 3 of those lock-offs overlook an alcove of the Sunset Savanna, the other 2 overlook the Uzima Pool. View is not part of the AKV Club Level booking categories (you only have room size: studio, 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom).

You do Club Level for the amenities, not for the view. If you want a savanna view, book a savanna view.

The DVC portion of CL is only on the 6th floor of Jambo House. Most of the Jambo House 5th floor is either standard view or savanna view DVC rooms. The 1st thru 4th floors are AKL hotel rooms. The hotel side also has Club Level rooms on the 4th floor.

I would recommend going with a non-DVC reservation because your chances of renting a CL studio are pretty slim.

Yes. Definitely.

Also, because realistically, your odds of renting a reservation for DVC Club Level at AKV are very, very small. Total of 5 2-BR lock-off units, for a maximum possible 10 rooms. The best views amongst these rooms is kind of meh. AKV owners have difficulty getting reservations, and since when you "rent points" you are really renting a reservation, you have similar odds to most AKV owners, only possibly less. And if I had AKV points I was renting out at 11+ months, I'd want a minimum of $20/point to try for AKV Club, because of the work involved.

I would not book Club level specifically for the view, but you can get some nice pictures from up there! We get Club level about once a year because my husband, especially likes it.

I saw two when I was there for three nights. An ostrich and a roan antelope (I thought was an elk at first, til I wandered downstairs to find out what animals were there)

Stayed DVC CL 3 times, got savanna view twice, both times poor animal showings, sold 5 of our 6 AKV contracts.
