AKL Christmas Decorations-Day or Night?

We are staying at VGF the week before Christmas. I want to eat a meal at AKL and see the decorations. Do you think it would be much more spectacular at night as compared to during the day? Trying to decide between breakfast and dinner. I could work either one into our plans. Thanks.

You really see the lights on the trees at night. But it looks really nice either way. Personally I prefer them at night.
