AKL bus service?

Can someone please give me info regarding bus service at AKL? We are trying to figure out times for ADR so if you could give us an idea of how long it takes to get from AKL to the different parks that would be great. TIA

I think you should always allow at least 45 minutes to get from a resort to a park or vice versa. It may take you less than that, but that builds in if you just miss a bus and have to wait for the next one, plus walking from your room to the bus stop then from the bus stop into the park.

Bus service was outstanding! We hardly had to wait for a bus, and service was fast! I think it took maybe 15 minutes for Mk, 10 minutes for MGM and Epcot and 5 for AK. The longest trip was for Downtown Disney!

Remember that the AKL has its own bus service (does not share with other resorts). Therefore, eventhough it is farther away from all the parks, it doesn't take long at all to get there since it doesn't make any other stops (even at resort, there is only one stop).

I would say 45 minutes will give you PLENTY of time, even if you just missed a bus. When we were there in December 2003 (very slow time) busses came every 10 minutes or so. We thought the AKL had the best bus service out of all the resorts we have stayed at.

Its good to know they have their own bus service. What a difference that can make!

45 minutes should be just about right. Last month when we were there, we had what I believed were 7:00pm ADR's for Le Cellier at Epcot. At 5:15, I realized the ADR was for 6 not 7. We walked (RAN) out of our room to the bus stop and were at Epcot, through the gate, through Future world and in Canada by 5:54. Whew! The bus service was great and we are booked already for AKL again next July.
