AKL, BC/YC, or WL for 1 night?

Im planning a trip to the polynesian in december but want to stay at a different resort for the arrival night to save a lil bit of money and try a new resort. Im leaning towards the wilderness lodge because of the christmas decorations but i hear great things about the other resorts as well on these boards that i wanna try too. What would you pick?

I'd probably do AKL or WL. Both are decorated but WL may appeal to a more "traditional" sense. If I were doing a park on that day I might pick a moderate like CSR followed by POFQ. Non-park I'd do AKL followed by WL (Epcot resorts are just too close to the park to resist ). AKL is a world unto itself. But if you want the holiday fireplace experience WL will do that for you.

You really can't go wrong with any of them as they are all great resorts. With that said, if Christmas decorations/atmosphere is your top priority, I think WL would be the best choice. Both the BC/YC and AKL have great decorations, but the WL has such a cozy feel with the huge fireplace in the lobby that is surrounded by rocking chairs, making it a great place to sit and relax while watching people come and go from the lodge, as well as take in all of the gorgeous decorations.
