AKL at 7 months, Nov 2009?

Our home resort is SSR, but we were thinking of trying to get AKL for our fall trip in 2009 (second week of November - after Jersey Week)... what do you think our chances are for a 2 bedroom?

Could I reserve a 2 bedroom in SSR at the 11 month window and then transfer to the AKL 2 bedroom if it is available at the 7 month window? I have never done that, so I am not sure it is possible.

If it's available, it's possible. That is exactly how you should do it. Go on the waiting list at 7 months if it's not available at first. Good luck.

I would book SSR at 11 months and then call right at the 7 month mark to check availability for the resort you actually want. We booked SSR (also our home resort) at 11 months for a trip in April then called at 7 months and was able to get AKV Concierge! So, I would say your chances are definitely good.

All of Kidani Village should be open by Nov 2009. Once completed, AKV will be the third largest DVC resort at WDW. I don't think you will have a problem getting a standard or savanna view room at 7 months.
