AKL and WL Question

How do Roaring Forks and the Mara compare to each other? We've stayed at the AKL and are trying to decide between CR and WL for next trip.

Kids are fond of the food court atmosphere but preferred Mara to the POFQ food court actually. DD LOVES toppings bars. If Roaring Forks is similar I think it would work.

I prefer the Mara to Roaring Forks, unless they've changed RF since we were there in 2000. Mara is larger with better selection of food. Mara had more of a restaurant feel, RF more of a snack bar feel to me. I don't remember a topping bar at RF, but they may have one. We enjoyed our stay at WL, but prefer AKL.

I have stayed in both Resorts and eaten in both Mara and Roaring Fork, Mara is much larger but they have added additional seating at Roaring Fork over the last few years and yes it does have the toppings bar in the newer section. While RF is smaller, most of the food selections are the basics.

Have they added additional seating in RF since Jan 2003? That was my last WL visit until our upcoming one next month. If they did that would be great!

I have stayed at both and I think Mara is a little better, mostly because it is newer...and there seems to be a larger selection. Plus, the deciding factor really all boils down to two words...Zebra Domes.

We prefer the Mara as well between the two - larger, African Nut Stew on the menu, and food order and payment area more open

Another vote for the Mara.

We've stayed at both WL and AKL and have to agree. The Mara is bigger - seemed to have a much bigger selection of some items. But as someone mentioned the basics are still the same.

Enjoyed both just fine!
