AKL activities?

We will arrival at AKL on Feb. 4 around 2:00 p.m. I don't want to burn a park day for just a few hours since most of the parks close early. We are planning on going to the 6:30 storytelling and Boma at 7:30. If it is too cold to swim what else can be do at the lodge. We are standard view the first two night before we move to three nights concierge. We will also have a whole day at the lodge on our departure day, flight leaves at 7:30 p.m.

I have a question for you. How cold is too cold for a swim? I see you are from Northern Ill., we are from the Buffalo NY area and we found that even with temps in the low 60's it was comfortable enough to go swimming....don't forget about the 2 spas that the AKL has!! Thier pool is supposedly the warmest at WDW.

There is also a "hidden Mickey" hunt you can do on your own. Don't be afarid to ask for assistance on some of the tougher ones!

You can also enjoy lounging at one of the firepits (indoors or out) or looking around at the great art collection in the lobby.

Then there is always shopping at the marketplace or pin trading or maybe take a tour of the lodge with a CM.

In addition to what the poster said above. When we were there they always had little exibits set up in the lobby where someone from Africa would tell you about it and answer any questions, it was interesting and they were very friendly!

Oh and I can't see it being too cold to swim because the pool is heated. We went in at night, when it was very cool but the pool was still really warm!

They may change the programs, but they had cookie decorating at Boma's at 1:00 and pool or lobby activities for kids at 2 and 5ish. I also think there was a culinary tour with tasting at the end around 4:30 but we missed that. The pool was so warm it steamed at night.

When we were there last Feb it was in the low 70's - and we swam and enjoyed the hot tubs! They also do have numerous activities.

There are a couple of things earlier in the day too, but since you said you arrive at 2 did not include those. You'll have plenty to amuse you.
