AKL 5 in a room???

I'm planning our trip for Nov and we will be staying at BWV. I am adding a 2 night weekend stay at AKL. DH is dying to try it out!! Anyway, it will be DH and myself along with our kids DD 6yo, and DS 20 mo at the time we go. My younger sis will be joining us and she will be 12yo at the time we go. What I want to know is how big are the rooms? Will we be comfortable? DS will probably sleep in the pack n play. I thought I read somewhere that the rooms are small. Do they have bunk beds? We want Savanahh view if that makes a difference. Any suggestion on what to request? Also what Savannah view is the best?

The rooms are not as large as the other deluxe resorts we've stayed in. Some have bunk beds. Some just have 2 queens. Make your request when you reserve your room. We have stayed on 2-3 different savannahs there and the view was great from all of them.

It is my understanding that you can have four people plus a child under 3yrs in a "crib". The standard sized rooms at the AKL as the same as the rooms at the WL and CBR. The "deluxe" size rooms at the AKL fit 5 plus a child under 3yrs in a crib and those rooms are the same size as the rooms at the YC/BC and BWI.

We had a deluxe Savannah view room last July.

There were 5 of us.

Hubby and I slept in queen bed. DS and newphew ages 9 & 11 both at the 5' tall mark slept in the bunk beds and my 13 yr old nephew 5'9" slept comfortably on the day bed.

It was a little crowded but very manageable.

It is an awesome resort and our favorite.
