Hi All. Is Akershus Royal Banquet a buffet/family style dinner or is it order off the menu?

Can't tell by looking at the menu online.

Thanks
Joe

I believe you order off the menu but it is the same price for everyone. The appetizer is probably family style.

Depends on the meal - for Breakfast, they bring a family style plate of eggs/bacon/cheesy potatoes to the table and the remainder of the food is on the buffet.

We ate there last summer for dinner. They had a "cold" buffet with salads, cheeses, breads, cold cut meats, and things like that on it. It may have had cold shrimp or even fish, but I don't exactly recall.

You order your entree from a menu, and it is brought to your table. I think dessert was one plate of several things brought to your table. You may visit the buffet part as much as you like.

This is not correct.
At each meal there is an "appetizer buffet" you help yourself to.
For Breakfast - it is served family style and is a fixed price.
For lunch and dinner you still have the appetizer buffet with meats and cheeses and salads etc but you order your entrée from a menu. Each entrée has its own price.
So the answer is It is a combination of all e

Unless it's changed, lunch and dinner have fixed prices, even though you do order off the menu for entrees (with the appetizer buffet, which is GREAT).

I stand corrected :-)
Sorry, I thought each entrée was individually priced in the Fall. My error

No problem. I believe it was individually priced in 2009. Back then you couldn't use more DDP credits per meal than you had people on your resort reservation. We had someone join us who wasn't on the DDP, and the server had to split the check between DDP and cash. However, the server did put the cheapest meal ordered on the cash check, even though that person did not order the cheapest meal at the table.
