Is Akershus really worth it? We are looking at possibly breakfast or lunch. My dd(3) loves the princesses, ds(5) not so much. Both are picky eaters. My son would probably eat fruit and cinn. rolls at breakfast/pizza at lunch. We were at DW in Nov. 2008 and enjoyed 1900 Park Fare. My dd met all the princesses except Sleeping Beauty between the park and cruise. I guess my question centers around for the price you paid do you think it was worth it? Please let me know about your experience. Thank you in advance.

I haven't gone yet, but my cousin took her family and said it was great. I'm not sure if it was breakfast or lunch that they went to.

I believe you get a photo as part of the price of the meal.

We went in 2006 and the food was ok but the princess interaction was great. Every princess there stops by each and every table in order so your DD won't miss out on any of them. We had Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Ariel, and Cindy. Plus you get a photo as part of the package.

We are doing it again in March.

If you want to do a princess meal, it's a great choice. It is a castle-like environment, but much cheaper than CRT. We have had breakfast and lunch there. We prefer the breakfast. My son tries to act like he's not into princesses, but the princesses do a great job having fun with the boys too.

We love the breakfast and it is a must for us every year. The photo is now included and it is very reasonably priced compared to CRT or any other character breakfast, really. It's a do not miss for us.

We have a lunch scheduled there, but I'm considering changing the reservation for a breakfast slot. That way we could pay out of pocket for breakfast, have a QS lunch and still use a TS for dinner (we're on the DDP). Otherwise, using a TS credit for breakfast seems like it will leave your family hungry by dinner time. I'm glad to hear it's good for princess interaction!

I don't know if it's "worth it", because we were on the dining plan. However, my niece went absolutely nuts. It was lunch, and I thought the food was pretty good, too

We had breakfast there last month and it was our favorite character breakfast! We also ate at CRT but felt the food and character interaction were both better at Akerhaus. It was a lot of fun and I would definately go there again! We are also big Belle fans so we liked the pic package with her better than the one at CRT with Cinderella. Akerhaus offers a wider variety of foods too since you mention DS is a picky eater.

We did the breakast. It was great, the food wasn't as good as Crystal Palace, but was pretty good. The hashbrown casserole was to die for. I thought the pastries were a little on the stale side. The character interaction was the best

Since the tip is included, for lunch I didn't think it was that much cheaper than CRT and honestly the princess interaction was better at the castle.

It is however one of the only places to meet Ariel with legs but I have read she is only at lunch and dinner. I was bummed that it was Belle at the door for pix, but it ended up being better because we did manage to get some great interaction out of Ariel that we would not have gotten if she were at the door. The Jasmine there was a real dud. She signed our autograph card "Princess Princess" and kind of had an attitude with my DD because she was shy.

We did all 3 on this trip (CRT, Aker and 1900) and Akershus was my least favorite (based on food and interaction) though my daughter would definitely disagree as Ariel is her favorite!

We liked it here quite a bit for breakfast. Dinner, not so much. But again the character interaction is fab! Breakfast was quite yummy as well! something for everyone! It has your basic eggs, sausage, bacon kinda deal like every other place. Hope that helped :)

We may be the minority but we love this one. It's a must do for us each trip. We do lunch or dinner and think the princess interaction is fantastic! :)

Again- everyone thank you for your replies. Please keep them coming. It really helps. Anyone who has gone for lunch - is there/ was there pizza on the kids menu when you were there. Also I wasn't aware that the tip is included? Do you get a picture like at CRT? When I called DW the CM told me no. Has anyone ever gotten a Mickey waffle or other food at breakfast for their picky eater? Thank you.

I read something on allears.net saying the lunch is $30.99 for adults instead of $24.99. Could anybody confirm? Thanks.

The price went up around $5 last year when they started including the photo package - yes you do get a picture, like at CRT. It's included in the price now.

We did the Akershus dinner in early November and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were on the dining plan so it was definitely worth it. When we return this upcoming November we won't be on the dining plan but Akershus will still be a must-do.

and you are going for breakfast, you can request either Mickey waffles or pancakes (I can't remember which). They aren't on the menu but neither of my kids eat scrambled eggs and they brought out one or the other for them.
