Akershus Royal Banquet? Mistake?

We just went less than a month ago with my mom, dad, husband and son who had turned 5 the day before. We all loved it. The picture of us before with Belle is framed and hanging in my house. The cold buffet is really yummy and anyone can find foods to eat from it. My dad and I had the salmon and enjoyed it. My husband and mom had the kjakatte and really liked it, too. My son had the ravioli which was his first Mickey ravioli of the trip and he ate a lot. The desserts are really good as well. The chocolate mousse - well, I'd love some now. The princesses were really good. Snow White gave my son a big kiss and now he thinks he's in love. We were surprised and happy to see Mary Poppins there. I even got up for a picture with her. We will go back again. And, by the way, the night before, we ate at The Royal Table so we did "the best" and yet this one ranked right up there. I think your daughter will love it and the memories will be great.

We love Akershus! My kids love the princesess and we all enjoy the food (lunch and Dinner). It is a bit exotic, but I really enjoy it. It is a favorite in our house for food, characters, and the photo package.

I say go and enjoy it for a few reasons. First, the photo package is very nice and it will make a wonderful momento. Second, the cold buffet is outstanding. I could have eaten my fill on the shrimp alone, plus the salmon was wonderful (and I usually am not a big fan of salmon). Lastly, the princesses are wonderful, too.

When you think about it, $100 is inexpensive for a birthday party with dinner, princesses, and a photo package.

Honestly, I was surprised how much I liked the lunch I had Akershus. I am not adventurous at all, and really liked the cold buffet & desserts. My entree, the Traditional Kjottaker was just ok, but everybody else liked their entrees. DH had the venison and he really liked it! The kid's meals are pretty standard. Honestly, I could have just eaten off the cold buffet - lots of salads, fruit, etc. And the desserts were SOO yummy!!

The princesses were awesome. I told my server that I felt like I hit the princess jackpot - Ariel, Belle (in yellow dress greeting), Cinderella, Snow White & Aurora! Wonderful!!

My daughter and I went last year in April and we thought it was great. I was absolutely stuffed afterwards. We had gone for dinner. She got her picture taken with all the princesses that came out, I believe they were Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella and Aurora. They even talked to her and she was 18. She even got her picture taken with our waitress. Loved the dessert tray, since it was just the 2 of us it was a lot of dessert for just us two but we managed to eat most of it, we tried all of it. LOL When we were done with the dinner we went out and they were doing the show so we kinda watched that a little while making our way out of the park before the mad rush from everyone.

I say go for it, it may not be what you expected but the atmosphere alone is well worth the price along with the picture that you get with Belle.

We had also done Cinderella's Royal Table which also enjoyed because we were having dinner there when the fireworks were going off so we got a really good view of those.

Does anyone know if you still only get one dessert tray to share if you have a larger party? We will have 8 (4 A, 4 C). I'm not sure if one tray would allow only a bite for each of us? Does anyone know?

Yes, we got 2 trays with 6 people, 2 of which were young kids (1 & 3), so I'm sure with 8 you will get 2 trays. The desserts are awesome! Enjoy!
