Akershus Royal Banquet Hall- Need Info

Planning on eating here with my fiancee on our upcoming trip. How is the food quality? Which characters do you meet? How is the service? etc...

We did lunch there and we really enjoyed the food! The salad bar is particularly nice and very welcome after so much rich and unhealthy food. Its a princess lunch, belle is the main character and then there are 3 or 4 other princesses. When we were there in september it was ariel, snow white, and cindy!

We like the appetizer bar as well for the same reason the pp said. After so much "fast" food and rich buffet food, I think I must have eaten about 30 grilled asparagus at Akershus. I couldn't stop. LOL My body was dying for greens. Plus, they were perfectly cooked and so yummy. We saw, Ariel(w/feet), Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Belle.

Personally, I like breakfast the best.
We did not enjoy the dinner at all. (except for the rice-cream dessert!)

Is there any "American" food at the dinner...?? We have been debating this dinner or the one at Grand Floridian... Only problem... I know Ariel may be in Norway and that is who she REALLy wants to see..lol
