Ok I swear Im not am obsessive mom, but this is our first Disney Trip and I have dining reservations for the Storybook dinner for DD4 and family, and from what Ive read the princesses are on a rotating schedule, and theres no guarantee which ones, just that there will be 5.
My daughter loves all of them , and has pretty much all the costumes. My thing is if she dresses up like Aurora, or Ariel, and they arent present, she will probably get upset. Is there any way to call ahead so we will know?
Or for those of you that have been multiple times, does it seem like certain princesses are always there?
This is the only character(princess) meal we could get into, so I just want things to well.(still trying for 1900 Park fare)

Thanks!

We've been twice (but for breakfast) and both times the following princesses were there: Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty. The other "princess" varied- one time it was Mary Poppins and the other is was the princess from the Hunchback of Notre Dame (who I can never remember).

We were just there for dinner on the 14th and Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine and Cinderella were there.

Belle is likely your best bet.

Her popularity means that she's at nearly all princess events.

We were there at the end of Aug. We had Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Mulan and Mary Poppins. Since my DD3 is a big princess fan, we were a bit disappointed. DD didn't know who Mary Poppins or Mulan was. We were also hoping for Ariel, Sleeping Beauty or Jasmine. Belle was up front for the main picture, so Sleeping Beauty was the only "princess" who actually came to our table. I'm not really sure that we would give this one a chance again.

You can not call ahead to find out who will be there. No one knows for sure who will show up until that very day. It has nothing to do with Disney Dining and everything to do with Entertainment. There is no one you would be able to call to find that information out. Sorry.
Usually Belle and Jasmine and Aurora are pretty good bets since they are supposed to appear at Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner but you can never be guaranteed that any one princess will be there on a given day. But I am sure you will have fun either way!

I am confused about this place... Is it an apet. buffet, and then ordering an entree and dessert off the menu? :confused3

You order the main course and you get the cold buffet and a dessert sampler to be shared by all. The food was ok.

Our princesses were Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, and Cinderella. My daughter loved this as all the princesses talked to her, signed her autograph book and posed for a picture, and we never felt it was rushed.

When we went in 12/04, the whole trip my DD wanted to meet Belle-we didn't make a huge effort to try and track her down as we had breakfast planned in Norway on the last day of our trip..... I'd heard she was usually a sure bet there. Not this time :( We had Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, and Mulan.... hoping for better luck this time!!! :thumbsup2

I am afraid it is my blessed '07 UG that has me so confused here. Are the entrees AYCE? Do you get to switch entrees if you want to? This makes NO sense at all to me, but unless I read wrong, that's what the UG said. I have never heard of / seen this kind of dinner service before. I have seen family style, cafeterias, buffets... This seems like none of the above :confused3

The appetizer is buffet style from a cold buffet of hams and turkey and cheeses and salad etc. You can eat as much of that as you want. But the Entree is preplated and you choose it off of a menu. That is not all you can eat. You get one entree per person. The dessert is also preplated and you share it with your party. They may bring out more than one depending on how big your group is.

August 29th lunch was Ariel, Belle, Pocohontas, Cinderella, and Jasmine. They won't be able to tell you who will be there if you call ahead. We were there for a very early lunch, and I asked at the door which princesses were there. They said they weren't sure...not all the princesses had showed up for "work" yet and they never knew who would be there on any given day.

Luck of the draw.

THAT, at least makes sense to me, thanks :thumbsup2 But I swear on my Tinkerbell cell phone that It isnt what I read in the UG :confused3
