Akershus lunch: substitutions?

We're going to lunch at Akershus this July. I noticed the menu on the official WDW site, and it says that the sandwiches come with potato & fennel salad. I have a huge aversion to fennel. I can't stand the taste of it, and if there is even a trace of it in something I notice it and it literally makes me gag. Sorry to be so graphic, but it is that bad.

Would they allow me to substitute a different type of side dish for the potato & fennel salad if I order one of the sandwiches, or would they at least omit it, or is this a pre-plated meal and should I just order something else if I want to avoid fennel? Thanks!

There should be no problem substituting side dishes. Akershus has always been very accomodating with special requests, from my experience.
