We just ate there a little over a week ago. Actually, we didn't have ps's and we tried getting into Le Cellier & San Angel Inn before we gave up and called WDW-DINE to see who had availability. Akershus and Marrakesh were the only two that had availability at the moment (it was also Sunday night and a holiday weekend).

We had a seven year old with us and she said she enjoyed her meal. They have a cold buffet with different salads (pasta, crab, chicken, as well as lettuce) cold cuts, cheeses. They also have several entrees you can order off the menu that the chef will make for you and you can get any of them, as many times as you want. It's all included in the price of the meal. Here is a link to their menus:

As far as noise level goes, the restuarant has high ceilings and being a sort of "stone" building, it was relatively loud, but I think that is true for many restaurants at WDW. We could still hear each other talk at normal voice level though.

hth!

My family attended the princess breakfast we liked it so much we returned later in the week for dinner. Great foods to try Our daughter painted the troll cookie it's three different edible paints and only $ 2.50 she liked it so much they gave us the recipe and we painted cookies at her next birthday party. She was only 2 1/2 at the time and still remembers the cookie she painted I'm sure it will be on her list of places to eat on our next trip. I've been reading they will now have a princess character meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner now. Have fun on your trip

My husband and I had the most relaxing meal ever in WDW at Akershus. We had our two boys,2 and 4, with us, and they also enjoyed it.
Now granted, this was the second week in September, so the crouds were minimal everywhere, but the food was great ( I had trout), and the atmosphere and staff were wonderful!
We plan to return in June!
Good luck! ;)

This is one of our favorite places. We love how it was never crowded and could always pretty much walk in (but we travel off season too). It felt like our little secret. Dh and I are so upset about the ALL PRINCESS thing. This was one of the places we loved to go to to relax and now it's going to be packed with kids (yes we have kids and I know it's Disney so don't start the flames!) and princesses coming to interupt our meal. But it's all about Disney making more money. I just wish they would have 1 meal there with no princesses so the original lovers of this place could still have their enjoyable Disney experience. Sorry for the rant :teeth:

So about your question..yes we love it. There's nothing particularly FUN about the place for kids (until the princesses invade). It has a quaint little castle feel. All the CM wait staff have always been the friendliest of any place we've eaten.
