Akershus in Epcot- Character Breakfast?

I'm heading to Disney Sept 24th-Oct 1st !! We are going with bro-in-law, sis-in-law and our 2yr old neice. We plan on eating at Chef Mickey's for dinner and we were thinking about Akershus for breakfast. We have never been there and I was wondering about their food and if my 2yr old neice would enjoy it. We are mainly going for the princess characters since Cinderella's Royal Table is so hard to get. Any information would be great! Thank you!!!

breakfast was fruit, cheese, salmon and pastry buffet followed by table served family style scrambled eggs; bacon; sausage; and cheese potatoes, juice and coffee...

We took our then 2 yr 10 month old DD to lunch at Akershus last December and she absolutely loved it. She was so excited to see the Princesses! It is a great age. I would get your niece some little books with the princesses beforehand so she knows who they all are. We saw Belle, Jasmine, Alice, Cinderella and Ariel at Akershus. I thought my DD was going to jump through the roof when she saw that Cinderella was there. I think it would be a great choice for your niece.

we did breakfast there back in 05, we thought it was better then CRT. A little more laid back, and we didn't feel rushed like we did at the castle. We're glad we did both, but I would do this one again

We did breakfast there last month. Delicious!!!!!!!!! We had Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White and Aurora.

We want to do this breakfast as well, but is it possible to make rope drop if we get the earliest ADR? And if not, will it bust our TGM plans?

We have been here twice, the last time in January and the food is great and the characters are a blast! You can special order pancakes but not waffles or french toast.

we want to try this as well this year - my understanding is that the earliest breakfast adr is 8:35 so even if you can snag that ressie you won't make rope drop at 9.

I have an 8:05am ADR on June 8th, going to rope drop right after, hope we can make it!!!

That's great! Thanks for clearing this up for me. So glad to hear it's possible to get an 8:05 adr at Akershus. We always want to get the earliest bkfst adr possible, so we can make rope drop.

This breakfast is so delicious and our kids (Even DS 7) LOVES this place. We always have seen Mulan as well. We also see Mary Poppins alot outside You will LOVE this place!

We went about a month ago and it was great! It was our first time there. The princesses we saw were Belle, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Snow White and Jasmine. The only problem we had was the computer or printer crashed and they sent our pictures to our hotel. Which was okay because we didn't have to carry them around all day.

we were there last week, and we were shocked by Cinderella being there, also. Plus, we were shocked about getting the free picture at the beginning with Belle. The characters were Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel. The girls felt like they had hit the Jackpot!

I saw Mary Poppins as well as I went outside to get the stroller ready. She was standing back by Maelstrom and there was no line for Pics! Unfortunately by the time I rounded up my daughters she was gone. We are hoping to do both CRT and Akershus on our trip in Sept.

Inside we saw Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mulan. No Cinderella for us. I know she's hit or miss but is there any pattern to when she might show up? Is she more likely to be there for breakfast, lunch or dinner?

maybe i should give this place a second chance we tried in 06 and i was horrified..

The food was ok. I wouldn't consider it 5 stars or anything but it's better then your typical breakfast buffet you find around Orlando and Kissimmee. It is nice to have fruit on the bar as well.
