I am planning our first WDW trip. I have decided to take my lil princesses to see meet & eat with the Character Princesses @ Akershus. I had planned for dinner. Then, I looked at the menu, & decided that the menu don't appeal to us. Please tell me about your experience with breaksfast vs lunch vs dinner. Is the food better at breaksfast, lunch, or dinner?

Thanks...

We LOVE Akershus, it is on our must do everytime we go to Disney. With that said, we only do the breakfast because, like you, when I made our very first ADR there, I was going to make it for dinner, that is until I saw the menu for it and knew that the picky eaters in my house would not eat anything there. I didn't want to pay all that money for my family not to eat and to just be there to see the Princesses. And let me tell you that that was the best decision that I had made. Akershus breakfast is our favorite character breakfast. We always make a ADR for before the park opens so that when we are done, we can head straight over to our first ride. Plus the food is awesome (we always get seconds of the cheesy potatoes) and the cold bar is really yummy. The Princess interaction is really great and the Princesses really spend time with the kids, plus the service is really good there as well. Have a great time there :goodvibes

My picky sibblings liked dinner there 3 years ago. I don't know if the menu is still the same. I will be doing dinner again with my girls this time but was hoping to try lunch.

I just looked at the menu and can tell I liked the lamb and my dh liked the salmon last time we were there. Did you look at the kids menu, food is not bad.

We were there in June for lunch. I wanted breakfast but because we had to change our dates we could not get it. I will not eat there again except for breakfast. none of the adults really enjoyed there meals, DD5 did like her's it was pizza. The deserts were good but not enough because we did not eat much food we would have liked a little more desert. I cost too much money OOP tyo eat there for bad food.

When we went the kids were fine and liked what they had for dinner but I didn't like my chicken at all. I did love the experience though. So we will be going to try breakfast in Dec.:cool1:

We took our DD4 there last month for breakfast. I am not a big breakfast person, but after looking at the menu, I realized that breakfast was our best option (we are very picky eaters). I'm glad we did the breakfast, the food was very good and we had a wonderful experience with the princess'. I think you would enjoy breakfast at Akershus, we did and are likely to return on our next trip.

:thumbsup2 Thank you, ladies. I think that we will try breaksfast instead. I have so very picky eaters.

As the other poster mentioned, if possible you can get an early reservion and they will let you in before hte park opens so you can get a head start on your day--- ;)

Ps...we went for lunch 2xs and loved it...

Atmosphere is wonderful, the food for breakfast was very good IMO and the interaction with the princesses was hands down fun and wonderful!! :goodvibes I would do breakfast here again in a heartbeat.
I don't think I would eat lunch or dinner here since the menu doesn't really appeal to me.
