Akershus breakfast timing

Do people think it's worth it to schedule a pre-park breakfast time to be able to walk through Epcot when it's relatively empty? It will be our very first time visiting Epcot.

I'm currently trying to decide between the following:

8:05 am, pre-park opening

OR

9:45 am, so we would be finishing up right around the time the WS opens, so we could just start touring back there right away

We would be at RD if we did the later time slot. With the 8 am breakfast timing, we would have to walk all the way back into FW to do a few attractions before heading back to WS when it opens anyway. Logistically that doesn't seem like the best use of time. But if people think it's really worth the experience of the empty park on the walk back to breakfast, then maybe that would make up for all of that back and forth?

It depends on why you want the park breakfast. My family likes that relativley quiet walk so we sometimes book an 8 AM ADR at Akershus. WE do not take park time for breakfast so the 9:45 would not work.

I really think that you need to decide how best to use your time. I like te early morning in FW, and don't mind walking there after breakfast in the WS. I would book my FP for Soarin, and maybe Spaceship Earth, so that I could get them, along with Turtle Talk, Nemo, and Living with the Land accomplished, hit SE and then maybe head over to the WS until we left for the afternoon. Honestly we spend a good deal of time in FW.


Epcot is a big park and we tend to divide it up into two sections, with our first morning in FW. WE may wander over tot he WS for lunch, but if we had a big breakfast we just snack. There are so many buildings to explore.

The WS is a big day as well, so when we plan plenty of time there as well.

My concern with your 9:45 plan is that unless you book your FP carefully, you just get started and then need to be heading to the WS to check in for breakfast. You wil want to be there for 9:30, so you may wind up missing the opportunity to do anything before breakfast.

Well, we want the breakfast so my girls can fulfill their dreams of meeting the princesses.

We booked the 8 am breakfast with a plan like you described, and not wanting to miss park time. We currently have a 9-10 am FP for Soarin' and then FP for the character spot and Spaceship Earth for 1:30-2:30 and 2:30-3:30, on our way out of the park. We planned to do Nemo and the Land and anything else we could between the end of breakfast and when WS opens.

Then I saw the 9:45 breakfast time and started second-guessing our original plan... it seemed more efficient to stay close to WS around the time it would open. Our original FP times would still work but we'd have to do more in FW in the afternoon. I wish we could split the park into two days, but unfortunately that won't work on this trip. I know we won't be able to do and see everything (LOL, not even like a quarter of everything probably!), but I do want to try and be efficient and make the most of the time we have there, taking into consideration that the breakfast itself is non-negotiable.

I absolutely understand the Princess breakfast! WE are taking the two little girls we love this trip and that one is booked and is in stone. I cannot tell you what works best for your family, but one of the tried and true touring strategies is to prepark openining breakfast and then hit the attractions as early as possible. Nemo, Living with the Land, and Turtle talk usually can be done efficiently with not too long in line.

Folks like a later breakfast or early lunch, but 9:45 is tha kind of inbetween time that istoo early to get a lot done, and too late to avoid the lines forming. You figure you will not be out of there until about 11, so your early time in FW is lost, and honesly in the WS you don't have that line problem, so there is not benefit unless you needed more time there.

If you have one day, I suggest you spend some time checking out which attractions, shows and character M&G you would like the family to experience so that on the day you are there you have a loose plan in place. My family loves Epcot! HAve a great time!

You are welcome! I must caution you that I am unconventional in my touring strategy, so what is fine for us may not be feasable or efficient for you. I aways suggest tat people do as much research ahead of time in order to mae for a smooth dayin the parks. Nothing worse than spending half your time stdying a map or trying to figure our where you want to go next.

Steve Soars( I never remember the name of his site so this is what I google) will have updated entertainment schedules in the parks, so he is a great reference for planning. Josh and easywdw is also great for planning as is Kenny the Pirate. The countries have several character M&G for the kids, and there is also a scavenger type of hunt. I think it is Agent P. This was fun for my DGD and kept her engaged. TO be truthful, we all played and it was fun!

I would keep the pre opening ADR. It is not a huge back track to FW.
