Akershus 8:00AM PPO

Hi everyone! Can someone help me understand how reservations are handled when it comes to the order of seating?

On our trip last week, my party of 6 had a PPO 8:00AM at Akershus, the first reservation of the day. We were not the first to arrive at the restaurant, so I did not expect to be the first group seated. However, there were 6 parties behind us - all checked in after us - that were seated before we were. One was the same size as our party and one was a party of 10! Our 8:00AM first reservation of the day didn't get us called in until almost 8:25. So, my plan of eating and getting out to FEA before the RD crowd arrived completely failed. I was frustrated, and I'm wondering if there was some method to the madness?

It sounds odd - did you ask the host when you began to see other large parties being seated ahead of you? I would have been frustrated as well - it seems like somehow your party got skipped over. Whether we are in a restaurant or doctor's office, I try to go up and ask how much longer if its been awhile, or if others have gone that came in way after us - there are sometimes reasons, like party size, but you can usually tell that as you mentioned(or different doctor's schedules at an office, etc.), but that definitely sounds like there was an oversight. It is doubly frustrating when you plan so far ahead and get such a great ADR time to help you jump start your day and this happens. You never expect ADRs first thing to have a wait, with good reason.
