What is meant by "biome" ? :confused3

Trying to decide what to do....

Here's another one:

What is a Biome?

A biome is a large geographical area of distinctive plant and animal groups, which are adapted to that particular environment. The climate and geography of a region determines what type of biome can exist in that region. Major biomes include deserts, forests, grasslands, tundra, and several types of aquatic environments. Each biome consists of many ecosystems whose communities have adapted to the small differences in climate and the environment inside the biome.

All living things are closely related to their environment. Any change in one part of an environment, like an increase or decrease of a species of animal or plant, causes a ripple effect of change in through other parts of the environment.

The earth includes a huge variety of living things, from complex plants and animals to very simple, one-celled organisms. But large or small, simple or complex, no organism lives alone. Each depends in some way on other living and nonliving things in its surroundings.

Aha thank you! I thought it was a new brand of scraping supplies! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay........I want to do something with the Baobab Trees and maybe Termite Hills for a Savannah type Biome theme....but if I did it, I would specifically do some theming with the Baobab trees. Those are the ones that look like the roots are above ground on the Safari. Maybe I will do the Termite mounds for the element group.

Buffy, I don't know if you want to put this in the kit group or the other group? But, I think it would go in the Biome Group. Having done AK stuff so much, I just wanted to do something different.

Nancy's probably doubled over laughing at me by now!!:lmao:

I sure am..but I so have a great photo of the termite mound in the savannah! I had to remind DH what it was..

Question- In the color groups what do you use for embellishments? Anything plain?

What would general be of? Never mind I thought of something.

Can I in a general group please? If there are not enough people and you need to close it just let me know.

in the biome group is fine and which ever you prefer either element or kit.
You re in group I for the elements so do the termite mounds for that and I'll pencil you in for Baobab trees in kits. If you change your mind let me know.

ACK! I almost missed this!

Dining Rainforest Cafe
General Group 2
Color/Pattern Giraff

In the attraction group A, let SIOH have ITTBAB and I will do Lion King and that way there won't be 2 partially filled ones.

That will be fine, Buffy!

Thanks!

Okay, would you please put me in the last color group. Thanks!!

More questions!!

Should I size my items to all fit on 1 12x12 layout? I am having a hard time with that. It seems like it would fit better on a 2 page layout. Is that okay?

Just want to make sure I understand the choices correctly. 2 mats, 1 paper piecing, 1 journal box and 2 squares makes a kit?
