AK strategy on EMH morning?

We are staying onsite so could go for EMH. But it will be 6 days into our trip (first week of May) and it may be harder to move 10 people that early so I'm planning for "worst case". (Could take two Minnie Vans from Poly if available - 6 adults, 4 kids all in car seats).

If our park arrival is 9:00, is this plan doable and do I need to forget Navi if we don't want to wait over 30 minutes? Should I reserve a "throw-away" FP for those not doing EE and try to modify to get Navi (for those not doing FoP) while in the park or earlier?

9:30 FP Safari
Breakfast ADR at 10:45 TH
12:00 FP EE for those interested/tall enough
1:00 (or when available) FP FoP for those interested/tall enough

Why not just try to make a FP for Navi? What good does a “throwaway” FP do? It doesn’t give you any advantage to pick a ride you don’t want to ride. Just schedule FoP for those tall enough and Navi for those who don’t want FoP. Also note that Minnie Vans might be quicker than a bus but they might not be quicker. It all depends on how many are out and how close they are, especially since you will need at least 2. I would push back Safari until later and just bus it. If you arrive at AK at 9 on emh morning you will not get near any pandora ride in under 30 minutes. People will have been waiting since before 7 to get in there.

Ok thanks for the advice. It may very well be that the group can be up and ready to go by 7:15...which is the schedule I think we'd need whether bus or Minnie Van. But in making FP at 60 days out, I'll have to assume we aren't getting there that early since we will have already (hopefully) done several RD days at MK and EP.

Keep in mind that even leaving at 7:15 puts you at the end of the rope drop crowd. If you just want to get there for safari then you should be fine. If you want pandora you need to be there before 7:15 together at the front of the line. The waits build instantly for pandora once the gates open.

Thanks I will. I wish I could switch our AK day to non-EMH and I would have the perfect plan LOL! But it's all part of a big jigsaw puzzle...
