Hi all,

I'm planning an early evening AK park day. We ate at Rainforest for breakfast - which frankly wasn't that great. The lunch/dinner menu looked ok but I don't know how good the food is for dinner as I wasn't that impressed with breakfast. I'm wondering if there are QS option where the food would be better?

I was also surprised that there were not many ressies available for dinner at Rainforest, I wonder why that is, as I feel there were always multiple dinner times avail in the past.

Thanks for any feedback, Marina

We don't care for Rainforest anymore - been lots of changes over the last 15 years, but there are many people that do enjoy it.

Our 'go to' CS at AK is the Flame Tree - usually their ribs are very good - have hit a few 'duds' over the years, but mostly really enjoy it there.

I wonder if they book fewer ADR's to have room for Landry's Select Club preferred seating? (definately join if you plan eating there

I would prefer Flame Tree BBQ with a river view.
And many others would prefer Yak & Yeti QS or the new Pandora QS.

Yak and Yeti QS is great! They usually have a delicious special of the day as well! Harambe Market has good food too!

I don't mind the food at Rainforest, but I have never had a meal in one where the service rose above "OK" and it's generally "bad". (And that's including restaurants not at Disney.) It's like they think "If we have a thunderstorm you won't notice your drink glass is empty"

I would choose QS meal over Rainforest Cafe any day. Last couple meals there were really quite bad and I can tolerate quite a bit when it comes to dining out. Yak and Yeti, Flametree BBQ or Harambe Market all have good QS options.

Ak has awesome cs options. Flame tree is a must do for us, every single trip

Love to sit by the watermtoo. I rotate chicken and ribs :yay:

I would love to try Flame Tree, but I have a bird phobia and can't stand the thought of them bothering me while I'm trying to eat.

Rainforest Cafe has a nice ambiance and tasty burgers. I'd go with that if you're unwilling to eat at Flame Tree.

I'd go QS, they are all open air but I've never noticed birds bothering me (I don't eat at Flame Tree). Rainforest is always way too loud for us and the food just o.k. at best. You could always go to Nomad Lounge and get some of their small plates.
