AK Rainforest Cafe - Breakfast?

Has anyone ever tried the breakfast at the Animal Kingdom Rainforest Cafe? We already have reservations for Breakfastasaurus later in the week and are looking for somewhere to have breakfast at Animal Kingdom. As far as I can tell (and especially with the closure of Tusker House at the time we are going), Rainforest Cafe is the only other place to have breakfast at Animal Kingdom...

also, if you have been, does anyone know what their hours are? When do they open in the morning?

I don't know the opening hours but I've eaten for b'fast there and I've only one thing to say:

One of our relatives ate breakfast there recently and said it wasn't too good. I would try out the Kona Cafe instead!

We had breakfast there years ago because I had a GC to use. The food was just OK. Basic breakfast food and nothing exciting. The service was a little slow but not too bad. Of course overall I just find RC foods just OK for lunch and dinner as well. However since it is my DS's very favorite restaurant I happily fork over the money to eat there.
