ak on monday, mgm on tuesday ?

we are going mid-october, first trip for our little ones (ages 4, 2, 2). I planned out our days, will hit the parks a total of 4 days. I figured sunday for MK (this is definite, since local friends are joining us and they will be working a couple of the other days). I planned for AK for monday morning, mgm for tuesday morning. Its been about 8 years since dh and I have been to wdw, and that was pre-kids so the planning seems a bit different this time around.

how are these days at AK/MGM?

(eta more info: should mention that we are going to the halloween party monday night. we plan to go to ak for just a few hours on monday, then go back to the hotel to nap/swim until the party. we don't plan to stay at the party more than a couple of hours (my kids are so young), so figured we could sleep in on tuesday a bit then hit mgm (we have 10:30 ressies with the little einsteins/jojo breakfast).

Because of the crowds EMH's draw, you should switch those around. Go to MGM on Monday and AK on Tuesday.

which day is emh? I'm a bit confused about that one (I've read 2 different things, that ak has it on monday and that ak doesnt, instead mgm has it on monday, at least for my dates...10/16,17).

AK has EMH Monday morning, so if you're eligible for that get there as soon as it opens. The park will get more crowded as the morning progresses. MGM should be fine on Tuesday.

Yes, those days look good as you have them planned. I would recommend getting to the Animal Kingdom before opening, keeping in mind that the park will be opening one hour earlier than usual on that day, which should make for a great beginning of your day without as big a crowd as usual in the AM.

Crowds estimates aside, the one thing that would make me keep MGM on Tuesday is that the warm-up act for Beauty & the Beast is off on Mondays. That's the best part of the show.
