We had to use the meal deal vouchers at AK. They are such a super deal and we always get a lot to eat from these. This year we ate our our favorite in all the parks Tusker House and tried Pizzafari for the first time since my 9yo DS could eat pizza for every meal.
At Tusker House the meal deal is an exceptionally good value. I always get the 1/4 roasted chicken and the kids get the mac'n cheese. We were given large sized drinks, even for my daughters kids meal. DS had the apple juice. The food was wonderful as usual. I just love this place! We had a performer come around to the tables singin and playing some sort of instrument. We had seen him before but never coming around to the tables. One boy about 8 yo got up and danced with him. It was so funny!
Pizzafari was a new choice for us. With DS pizza habit and my not being very hungry we gave it a go. We all had the pizza meal deals and it was the same pizza we found everyplace else. Nothing too special. The art work on the walls was fun however. We were in the back room and found not only hidden mickey's but also lots of creatures hidden in the pictures. It was nice way to cool down and a welcome suprise.
Of course we had to get ice cream with our vouchers and were pleasantly suprised to find drumsticks at the carts. They were $3.50 so that made the meal deal even sweeter. DS always likes the fruit bars.
If you stay at AK till lunch I think the counter service food offerings are better than any other park. Well worth it!
