Why are the AK-Jambo-Value Studios less points ?
Is it size and or view ?
Thanks.

Approx. 49 sq. ft. smaller.

Value Studios are approx. 316 sq. ft.
All other Jambo House Studios are approx. 365 sq. ft.

All of the DVC Units in Jambo House are converted hotel rooms. The Values were converted from Standard Hotel Rooms, with the remaining converted from Deluxe Hotel Rooms.

Shhhhh! If we wonder too much' I'd be afraid that DVC would raise the rates! I've stayed in both standard view and value view studios and never noticed the little bit of difference. Given a choice, I prefer value studios-they're all located closer to the elevator, and sometimes you get a savannah view. I know that you may get a reclassified savannah view with standard, but these are even less points. To me, the only downside of value studios is availability to me, a non-AKV owner. They're very hard to get, and DH won't allow me to buy any more points for that 11 month window.

There is also less storage space in the Value studios. The non-Value studios in Jambo House have a storage bench. It comes in handy because of the lack of storage space due to there being no closet in most of the studios and losing 1/3 of the dresser space to the pack'n'play. The drawer in the storage bench nearly doubles the amount of drawer space in the Jambo studios but there is no room for it in the Value studios. There is a standing wardrobe in the studios but only half of it is available for hanging up clothes. The other half houses the vacuum cleaner and ironing board.

We just stayed at a studio at AK-KV-SView and there was standing wardrobe in the studio and only half available for hanging clothes the other half for the vacuum cleaner and ironing board.

I thought all of the studios in Kidani had a small closet and that the vacuum cleaner and ironing board were in the closet. Did your Kidani studio not have a closet? I realize that only half of the armoire can be used to hang up clothes (the other half doesn't have a pole for hangers) but I didn't realize they put the vacuum cleaner, etc. in the armoire in Kidani. On the other hand, since half of the armoire can't be used for clothing, maybe it makes more sense to put the vacuum cleaner there and free up more space for clothes in the closet.

It's definitely noticeable, even at 49 sf. That being said, if it's only for 2 people or 3 ...Worth it...We did a value in 2013 with the 4 of us, and although we aren't in the room for long it was tight..This past November we stayed in a Savannah view in Kidani, and besides the view, it was just a lot bigger IMHO....View I can take or leave. It was nice to do once ,but don't see myself wasting pts. on that view again.

very hard to get most times of the year, there are very few and very popular.
