We have an 8:10 AM P.S. for Donald's. I really want to catch the first performance of Lion King since we missed it last time. My question -- what do we have time to see before the first showing. Is it possible to do both the Safaris and Dinosaur before heading over to Lion King? And, does anyone know the times for the show (we'll be down in July)?
Thanks

From what I could tell the Lion King performances are pretty much continuous. We lined up and went in when they opened the doors and watched the show. I would say it is a 30-45 minute show. When we came out another line had formed and was about to be let in. So, it seemed like there was a show every hour.

I wouldn't worry about missing the show. Enjoy Dinoland (so you don't have to return) and get a FP for the safari, so that you can ride after the show .

I definitely WOULD NOT miss The Festival of the Lion King show. JMO, but I think it is the best live show in WDW. I would spend the cost of admission just to see this show.

I don't know if this will work with your 8:10 PS, but here's what we did during peak Easter season last year.

-Got to AK at opening time, we all headed to Lion King with the exception of 1 adult. He took all our tickets & got FP's for the Safari.

-Saw Lion King

-Had enough time to see Pocohontas & her Friends

-Headed over to the Safari.

-By the time we finished the Safari we were able to see Flights of Wonder. 1 Adult went & FP'd Dinosaur

-After Flights of Wonder we went & rode Dinosaur & Primeval Whirl

-FP'd Tough to be a Bug

-Ate lunch at Flame Tree BBQ (there is a great place way in the back to sit & relax - shaded - great for a July trip)

-Saw Tough to be a Bug

-Went back to the resort to swim.

We skipped Kali River Rapids, the boat tour, the walking tours & Rafiki's Planet Watch. We had done all of these before with the exception of Kali River Rapids.

Anyway, like I said, I don't know if this will fit with your PS's, but if you want to see the major things this was a great way to do it.

Have fun!! :p
