So my family (four adults) says "no commando" this trip, we haven't been to WDW in four years! Our plan for our AK day is to enter the park (Sat. May 5, park closing at 10:30pm) by 2-2:30 pm. Our FP's are: FoP 3-4pm, EE 4:15-5:15, Safari 5:50-6:50. ADR Yak and Yeti dinner 6:45.

We also want to see/ride:
ROL (two shows 9:15 or 10:30) Yes we want to see it ::yes::
Navi
Up bird show (1:30, 3:30 or 5pm)

If we have time:
Bug's Life
Tree of Life Awakening
whatever else fits in is a bonus

I'm thinking based on earlier advice if we can snag ROL as a 4th FP for 9:15 we will do that then hit Navi afterward before park closing. But not sure about Up show. We can give up the coveted pool time and come earlier for the 1:30 show but I'm wondering if we can fit in the 5pm Up show between our EE FP and Safari FP? Can't remember how big that theater is, how early preshow do we need to be there? I think it is somewhat close to EE right?

Am I likely correct in thinking if the park opens early and has a.m. emh that day, then by night time a lot of folks will have headed out and we can more easily get on Navi?

Anyway, open to any ideas or further suggestions. These boards are soooo helpful! :thanks:

I think as long as you hit EE at 4:15 (or 4:10 with the grace period), you should have time to get to UP for the 5:00, but you're verging on commando with that tight of a schedule, so you may want to call a family meeting to see if they want to give up pool time or hustle just a bit for the 5:00.

I wouldn't count on the park emptying out either. It doesn't do it as much as it used to without Pandora. Still, hitting Na'vi after ROL shouldn't be a problem. You might even have time to do that and still get in line for one last FOP too.

If you do Everest at 4:15, I think you can easily make the 5:00 Bird show (the theatre is about halfway between Everest and Safari), and you should be able to make it fine to the Safari by 5:50.

Thanks for the quick replies. I think the "no commando" is more about no early mornings and for sure no a.m. emh! They wanted "scheduled pool time BEFORE parks" on a couple of days so we have that twice on our 5 day trip. Typically in the past we did rope drop then got caught up in the park and never got back for the pool :sad2:. So we are doing an afternoon to close for HS and AK, we are doing a rope drop for MK and Epcot. We are also doing Epcot on arrival day 4pm -close. And we are doing eve emh at MK - our fav :yay:

We have park hoppers so if we don't get on Navi or do everything we want we could squeeze in a quick return trip to AK but would prefer not to.
