We're supposed to be in AK tomorrow, but it looks like heavy rain/thunder storms...

Should I switch it to Friday where I was planning a MK/EP day when is better weather?

Obviously, I'll have to start from scratch with FP's, but I practically hit everything in MK on Day 1 already and MK has far less FP attractions, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hi... if the storm is going to last all day, then yes. ..
But, if it's like a lot of Florida storms and lasts only an hour you should be able to do AK anyway. The animals seem to like the rain better, and FOTLK and Nemo are both indoors.
Good luck!

It looks like heavy rain all day and thunderstorms as well.

To be honest, we aren't big "show people." My niece has seen the broadway musical of Lion King, etc. I know the shows are good, but they aren't always a priority...it just depends how the day goes, etc.

I'll probably switch and make the best of it!

FOTLK is not anything like the Broadway show in case you have never been.

Heavy rain = a Disney Springs day.

I didn't know that... We may check it out if my niece is up for it; she is hit or miss with some stuff.

It didn't rain as bad as I expected from the forecasts but it's rainy/gloomy most of the day. We are being lazy and hit up MK some...

When I went in October the only day we went to AK was the only rain day. It was awful, I was hoping for a traditional on/off rainstorm (typical of Florida), but no it was a full force pour down lasting 6+ hours. We were soaked to the bone and had to go back to the hotel to dry our shoes and change clothes. I would say that if you are not traveling with kids (we were hence our shortened day at AK) that it'd be a-ok to tough out. But with a 1 year old, it was not doable.

We usually do HS if it's going to rain all day- most everything is indoors and there's lots of shelter to duck into if the skies open up. Plus the park is usually empty, another plus!

For a heavy all day rain, yes I would switch it. I don't find it easy to put up with the rain at AK. We left there by lunchtime one trip because I just couldn't handle it after a few hours.
