I just made my fastpasses for our day at Animal Kingdom, April 22, and was able to get them for Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. We also want to do Navi River Journey, which we're planning to do right at rope drop (no EMH that morning) and we also want to ride Kali River Rapids. We've never done Kali River Rapids because it's always been closed when we're there (we usually go end of January/beginning of February). Question is, where should we head after Navi River Journey and should we change one of the fastpasses for Expedition Everest or Kilimanjaro Safaris to Kali River Rapids instead? Thanks!

No, don't change your FP+ to Kali. The line for Kali will spike, and quick...but be patient. It'll go back down pretty quick. Very often, by mid afternoon, it's a walk on. I'd definitely keep the 3 FP+ you have.

You don't say what times your fastpasses are for so it's a bit hard to give direction.

Unless the trends change, most of the rest of AK will still be empty because people are waiting for Na'vi and FoP during the early morning hours. After doing Na'vi at rope drop you should be able to ride both KRR and EE with minimal waits - probably more than once. There is the potential to get SOAKED on KRR though, so you might want to take that into account as far as determining when you want to ride it.

For KS, we've found the animals tend to be more active later in the day when it is cooler so we try to plan our Safari fastpass for later in the day now (although you can never really guarantee anything with real wildlife).

Our Fastpasses are currently:
Expedition Everest - 11:05am - 12:05pm
Flight of Passage - 12:10pm - 1:10pm
Kilimanjaro Safaris - 2:35pm - 3:35pm

I'd prefer to ride KRR in the afternoon because I'm assuming we'll get soaked and I don't want to walk around all day soaked! But I'm not sure how long lines will be in the afternoon or if it's easy to pick up a 4th fastpass for it. My daughter also loves Primeval Whirl so I'm thinking it's probably best to head there in the morning before lines get too long or try to get an additional fastpass for it later.

The line for KRR should go down pretty quick in the afternoon, and even if it doesn't, it's super easy to get a 4th FP+ for it. And yes, you can get truly soaked. Honestly, I think people here exaggerate tremendously about how wet they get on other rides (PoTC, Splash, etc...), but this one is no exaggeration. If you're facing backwards as you go down the hill and the water is at full speed (I think they lower the level in winter), you will literally be hit by a wall of water. It's awesome, IMO, but be prepared for it.

Yes, go to PW in the morning before lines get long, but that's another ride that a 4th FP+ is easy.

I don't agree with PP about animals being more active later in the day. It's completely random. We've been on it all throughout the day and what we see is just pure luck. We've had duds late in the day and had tremendous ones.

If you were going to change anything, I'd change the Safari FP to before FoP. Leaves you a lot more of the day to get add'l FP for the remaining things at AK and give you more time to look for a Kali FP which you'll likely find with moderate refreshing.

I agree with this! Try to move your safari to earlier and I've seen Kali Rapids have a lot of SDFP available.

So would you tour: Navi River Journey, and then head to Africa for Kilimanjaro Safaris in the morning? Would you keep Expedition Everest in the late morning still or switch it until after lunch? My family doesn't mind running around a bit to get the lowest wait times but my husband's family will be with us this day and I'm not sure how they'll like running back and forth! ;)

After Na'vi at RD, I'd head back to Dinoland and work counter clockwise to start. Assuming you can move your EE and KS FP, a very rough schedule might be:

9:00 Na'vi
9:30 Dinoland
10:30 Everest
11:00 Safari
11:45 Lunch at Satu'li (or Pizzafari)
12:45 FoP

Then start looking for a 4th FP to Kali or PW or whatever you want and use shows to fill in extra time. Try to hit FotLK after FoP. If you're ahead of schedule, you might hit the 1:00 show. If not, aim for the 2:00 show.

Keep in mind that you will be there for the big Earth Day Party for the Planet opening. You may want to attend the opening ceremony at Tree of Life at opening, which may delay your Pandora entry unless you choose to skip it, in which case, you may end up with less of a wait while the rest of us that are there for Earth Day take in the special events.

I would go to Navi first, but don’t go to Kali just yet. Maybe do Dinosaur or EE an extra time, but the line for Kali won’t build up until it is warmer (maybe an hour or two) and the line is usually a walk on at least the last couple hours of park opening.

We will be there next week and we are rope dropping Navi. We then are going to KS and to ee after that. We have FPs for fop until 9:35, Kali at 1 and dinosaur at 2. I’m very happy with my choices and think we should be able to get Navi, KS, and ee done before our fop FP.
