We have one person who has not checked in. I have pm'd her and emailed her this past Sunday. I told her that I needed to hear from her by today. I will probably angel the spot tomorrow morning, if I don't hear from her before then.

Just two weeks until the due date--a week until the mail-by day! I can't believe how time has flown since sign-ups. You all are going to love all of the stuff!

Ok, I heard from the other person, and something did come up. YodasMom is going to angel the spot, so we are still rolling right along! How is everyone doing? I'm excited for all of you to see this swap!

For my angel spot in Group 2, I will do a Pangani Forest Trail theme with a library pocket/tag and a song lyric.

I hope this is OK with everyone. Let me know if it's not. I plan to work on these this weekend and get them in the mail on Monday.

Ugh, (I really do say that out loud by the way) I have to decide what to do this weekend. My ILs are expecting me to drive down this weekend since my oldest has off on Monday. But with the white stuff due here on Saturday and no above freezing temperatures before who knows when...I'm hesitant to drive that far. Going South is easy. It is coming back that worries me. I'm not the best driver when the weather is nice. And they won't tell me to not come, they miss their grandchildren (only). Guess I'll just have to put my big girl panties on and deal with it. Thanks for letting me go OT and letting me vent.

AWM, take you time.. way the pros and cons.. my mom won't let me drive down if there is even a chance of flurries... and my il's could care less how often they see the kids down here... afterall, we are not the chosen ones.. DH left home for college.. married and never returned...so they aren't real thrilled w/ the fact he made a life for himself!

Thanks for the well wishes. I've decided to not go down tonight. I will wait until after the snow leaves and then just do a regular two day weekend trip, down one day-back the next. My DH is their only, so these are the only grandchildren. My parents however only see my boys twice a year, maybe-because I'm the one who left home and never came back. So to you and DH.

I'm glad you are going.. I don't have to worry so much about my friend traveling in the nasty weather.. off to check the forecast.. we are under a sn** advisory... yuck!

I'm glad you're not going, AWM--I would have been worried about you!! I understand about being the one who left! That is DH, and even though we live less than 20 miles from the IL's, it's my fault that I "took him away"!

Nancy, I think we lead parallel lives! My il's are the same way. They never talk to DH, ignore our kids, hate me....and all we can figure is because DH left home and made a good life.

I agree with SIOH and Nancy. I am glad you are staying home. My feeling is - why take an unnecessary risk!
