We have eaten Donald breakfastasourus and I think lunch somewhere cant remember.

Please tell me your opinions for

Breakfat- Tusker House- :Donalds Safari Breakfast

Luch- Flame Tree Barbecue-- How are the RIBS?

Dinner- Yak & Yeti

How is the food, any tips or must try's?

TIA

I would choose another dinner location. Perhaps Tuskerhouse for dinner? We ate at Y and Y this December and was a bit disappinted at the menu and the service and overall quality of the food for the price.

We loved Flame Tree! Yes, the ribs were awesome. So was the chicken.

Not many choices at AK, but AKL is just a few minutes away by resort bus. You might want to give Boma a try or Jiko? They are outstanding restaurants and AKL is my favorite resort!

We've done Tusker House for lunch and we really liked it, so if you decide to do it for dinner or lunch, it's a good choice.

Flame tree is good - the ribs are very smokey and a little dry, but that's no problem b/c there's lots of sauce :)

I second the other opinion about trying Boma for dinner. It's a good choice when you're at AKL b/c you can get a later ADR and just go after the park closes. So you could do Tusker House breakfast, Flame Tree lunch and then Boma for dinner - that would be a good choice.

Or if you're not on a deluxe dining plan, there's a good pastry shop in Harambe that has coffee, cinnamon rolls and bagels for breakfast too.

We really enjoyed the Tusker House character breakfast. I thought it had good variety and we thought the characters were great. My favorite part was having an ADR for 9:00 (wish I'd made it earlier, though), so we got into the park before official rope-drop and had a leisurely walk to TH, and got some good Photopass pictures in front of the Tree of Life with no one else in them. As another plus, you're right by the Safari, so when you get done with breakfast, you can zip over there before the crowds get too bad.

We have never done Tusker House.

We usually do Flame Tree every year--love the ribs and chicken (and I love the beans and eat mine and DH's, and he eats my bread because I don't like the bread).

We went to Yak & Yeti for the first time this past September and loved it. We had terrific service and all of us enjoyed our food immensely. We've never done Boma (we are trying it for breakfast on our next trip but we probably will never do dinner--read too many mixed reviews and the one person who I trust the most with her reviews did not like it at all and after her description of the different seasonings, flavors, etc., I know that I will not care for it).

Here is a link to my review of Yak & Yeti (about 3/4 way down the page): http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1952509&highlight=25th+anniversary+reviews

Another vote for Flame Tree and another vote for Boma for dinner.

I have not done Tusker House yet but it is on the list for this summer based on all the recent reviews of it.

We try to plan a bigger breakfast, do AK, and then head somewhere else for a late lunch - not overly impressed with AK dining choices overall.

The last time we went to AK-not our last trip to WDW,we brought a change of clothing jumped on a bus to AKL and ate at Jiko and loved it,we might do the same. Just was trying to get a feel for the places in the park to eat.

Thank you

I ate at Tusker House before it switched to characters and it was really good then but I don't know how the menu has changed.

Flame Tree is great! I like the pulled pork sandwiches and the salads. I'm not a big rib fan but my BIL loves them and ate there three times on our last trip.

I ate at Yak & Yeti when it first opened and service was very spotty and the food just average. I was on the dining plan and instead of bringing the receipt that showed how much the meal was worth (like the other restaurants do) I got a blank receipt showing that one credit was used and the server "suggested" how much of a tip to leave. Um, I don't think so!
