AK Counter Service

Is it just me or is there not that many choices for counter serice at the Animal Kingdom? I have 2 under the age of 3 who will eat chicken nuggets, while my husband and I would eat a burger or chicken sandwich. Where can we go?

Restaurantosaurus has McDonalds chicken nugget happy meals, and adult cheeseburgers & hotdogs. Pizzafari has pizza (obviously) and some sandwiches. We really like Flame Tree barbeque, they have ribs, 1/2 smoked chicken and beef/pork pulled bbq sandwiches. You can find all the menus at allears.net

Last trip we grabbed happy meals for the kids and then all went over to Flame Tree. The kids grabbed a table and then ate with us.

Since your kids are small, you may want to make sure you have sippy cups for them. There are no straws available at AK, for the safety of the animals.

Actually I feel that AK has one of your best bang for your buck counter service locations, we absolutely LOVE Flame Tree BBQ, my DH got a half slab of ribs and I had an incredible pulled pork BBQ sandwich with Key Lime pie as desert, it was OUTSTANDING. My kids had hot dogs and shared some of my BBQ. It's one of our favorites.

We were there last week, and at Yak & Yeti counter service there are chicken bites and hamburgers and fries as well as other things on the menu. It was really good, my 4 year old will only eat chicken nuggets and she loved the chicken bites. There are straws at Animal kingdom, but you have to look for them ,they are hard to find. around the yak & yeti counter service where the tables are located , there is a counter that sells drinks, there are straws there.But just a warning , the straws are not like regular straws they are made of something that feels funny when you drink through it...lol we had them, my 4 year old wouldn't drink anything without a straw.
