We got back two days ago and I confirmed that I still fit in my "thin" pants and that in fact I fit better in them. We did not diet in The World. We ate what we wanted when we wanted BUT we also averaged about 6 miles a day of walking and let me tell you, if one has the time to do such a thing, than that is a great way to lose weight. Walk around for 6 hours a day and you will lose weight. The great news is that at 5 ft 4 and 338 lbs I fit on every ride I tried (and I even fit OUT of most of those too.) Some of the theatre seats were rather narrow and I had a hard time getting out of the Star Tours seat (basically I panicked when the doors opened for the on coming folks and I hadn't unbelted yet). Big Thunder Mountain didn't want to give us up either but I take full responsibility for that because when we sat down I pulled that lap bar down as hard as I could (I didn't want to fly out during the ride) and as DH says I racheted us in so tight we weren't getting out of there without a fight. The best news is that if you are pooh shaped and you want to participate in Dolphins in Depth do not despair they have wet suits that will fit you. This caused major anxiety for me in the days prior to our tour. But they ask your t-shirt size when you are greeted and I think they base your wetsuit size on that. They go up to a 4x in t-shirts which is very large on me, but the one I ordered anyway and the wetsuit was roomy (yes, I know, it's odd to have a roomy wetsuit but I may have exaggerated the estimation of my girth when requesting a 4x t-shirt). Lastly, I went swimming at least half the days we were there and nobody made me feel uncomfortable. One little boy was rudely and loudly pointing out how fat a man in the pool was but I swam away from him as soon as I heard his anti-fat whining and avoiding hearing any comments he may have made about me. His mother was clearly embarassed by this as well she should be 4 year olds don't naturally berate people for being different, they learn how to do that. It was a great trip and inspiring to stay exercising for our next trip, whenever that may be. . . So, I plan to be back on the exercise wagon starting tomorrow or tonight if I am feeling really ambitious. It's got to be soon, my weightlifting calluses are sloughing away. eek.
