AK Breakfast?

Hi, my SIL told me that they were unable to enter AK early for their breakfast Res because it is against the AK guidelines so they were late for their breakfast ressie. I know that we have gotten into MK to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace before the park opened so I was surprised to hear this about AK. Anyone know if early arrivals are only good in the MK? Thanks in advance.

When we had an ADR for breakfast prior to official opening at AK, we were escorted directly to the restaurant by a CM... Not sure if that process has changed, and would wonder why they'd make an ADR for a time when a guest couldn't get to the restaurant due to park hours?

We were there in May and we were actually already done with breakfast before AK opened. So yes, you do get in before!

Very interesting. That was what I thought. Maybe there was something elso going on that day?

We went to Donald's safari breakfast at 8:05 am on a day that AK opened at 9 am. We were let in at about 7:45 when we gave our name at the turnstile.

I have heard of people being denied access for brkfast during a morning EMH if they are not staying at a Disney resort, but can't imagine another reason... if the restaurant were open.

They had a list of ressies I think when we were there in Dec. They checked it so we at Tusker House at 8:25a.m. for a 8:45a.m. reservation.

They were staying at POR and had reservations for Donald's Breakfast so I am not sure what happened. I am just glad to know that it is usually possible to get in early. I am planning our next trip and my SIL really enjoyed the breakfast. We just like to eat early to maximize morning park hours.

we've had no problem entering the park w/our confirmation number, and of course pass, for breakfast.

Not sure what was going on that day?! At all parks, there is a special line for people with ADR's. I have seen special signs and the such like. They will check your name off a list, and you will be sent to the breakfast place. Area's that are no-go are roped off, and there is usually cast members along the way to ensure that you get where you are going. Sometimes the park hasn't always been cleared for guests, so the early times you might be a little rushed, but that's not the norm.
