AK at 9AM - is the whole park open?

We last went to the AK 2 years ago, when it was open at 8:00am. At that time, the characters at Camp Minnie-Mickey didn't arrive until 8:30, and the entire dinosaur section wasn't open until 9:00.

When they open AK at 9:00 now, is the entire park open, or do they still have staggered openings? One year we sent someone to the Safaris for fastpasses and the rest of us enjoyed the Dinosaur ride and playground with no crowds at all.

Anyone been there recently at 9AM and found sections closed?

When you went at 8 was it an EMH? Then only some things are open. I believe with a general opening time it should all be open.

We've been twice, and I'm almost positive that we didn't do an EMH because I've only ever done the EMH at MK.

One of the times we tried Camp Minnie-Mickey right at opening, and they had a rope that said it would open 30 minutes later. The other time Dinoland wasn't open when the park first opened, but we didn't mind because two of the Pooh characters were there while we waited, and we got to visit with them without long lines.

I thought the regular opening time used to be 8AM, but my memory isn't the best

Can anyone confirm that they've been to the park at 9AM and Dinoland was open?

i thought i also remembered the regular opening at 8am

A few years back when AK first opened it was normally at 8 a.m. We were there at that time on the second week - back when the boats were operating. The animals were more active on the safari with the earlier opening time.
