It's a small world after all...LOL!! I clearly remember your family right near us in that sitting area. Did you see my alien green Mickey heads? Wow, what a coincidence! You never know who can be sitting right next to you! And it's funny about what your DH said about being quiet because the boy is sleeping----- I was concerned about you thinking why don't we just go to our room or something, why should my children be sleeping in the lobby! I love it when things like this happen! Hope it worked out ok for you that day with your room.

the Mickey in the limo was a passenger, not ours to keep. When you make the ressie, they ask you which character you want, Mickey, Minnie, or Goofy. I didn't request any of them, but they just put Mickey in anyway, and I'm glad they did. Of course my kids wanted to keep it!
As for the gifts, it sounds more difficult than it is. I had everything ahead of time, except for the couple of things for Mom, since she wasn't originally coming with us.
I just bought the items, packed them in bags, put them in my suitcase, and that's it. My sons shared a large suitcase, and I had my own, so they didn't see the bags in mine. It didn't take up much room at all. The first day, when we checked in, I asked a CM if he could take a bag to my room and lay out the beach towels. I gave hiom the bag, and my kids didn't see, since they were exploring the lodge. I offered the CM a few dollars, but he wouldn't take it. He said he'd hold on to it until around 7 pm and then go to the room.
The next nights, I put out the items myself. We always took an afternoon break, and right before we headed back out, I'd be the last to leave and quickly put the gifts on the bed. I pre-placed the bag of the day under the bed, for easier grabability! My 18 year old knew it was me, but Mom and Jesse (12) think it all came from the wonderful Disney folks at AKL!
